Sorry– I have rehearsals Thursday nights, so I can’t make it. I’ll wait to hear what team I’m on via the forum.

Give us a heads up a day or two in advance so that we’ll be around.

    Thanks, Tim. Maybe tomorrow, 4:30ish?

It’s at Bike Arlington’s intergalactic headquarters. You may get it from them or send an emissary on your behalf to retrieve it for you.

Forgive my ignorance, but I don’t know where that is.

So I belatedly saw from this post (http://bikearlingtonforum.com/showthread.php?7994-Pointless-Prizes-2015&p=112570#post112570) that I randomly won a BA scarf. I don’t suppose anyone picked it up for me, did they? No worries if not– serves me right for not going to the party.

Every year, I’ve gained weight by the end of March because of work travel and bad eating habits. I’ll play, in hopes that this year will buck that trend. :p

    Lisa 115 lbs, 5’2″, BMI 21

    Unfortunately, I predicted correctly. This morning’s weigh-in was 118.2 pounds, BMI 21.6.

argh. I thought I was available next Monday, but it turns out I can’t go. I’m available on Tuesday, but it looks like many of you aren’t. (and it’s probably not a good day to meet for happy hour, as it’s St. Patrick’s Day.) Sorry!

Any of those places would be great. Any day except Wednesday or Thursday would work for me.

But remember, the reason @PGParks can’t clear the trails is because their shovels are too big…

It’s been a long while (I’ve been sick and traveling, blech), but I’ve finally got back to my biking commute. Northwest Branch Trail from Magruder Park is mostly clear. There is a mound of snow that blocks entrance to the park trail from the parking lot. The trail towards RI Ave to Armentrout is clear. I haven’t gone beyond that.

Most of the wet patches are water, although there are some icy spots that are visible. The bridges appear to be completely clear. Approaching Chillum Rd. remains icy and slushy– I wish PG Parks would maintain this area.

Even the roads in n prince georges county were icy slicks at 8pm Temp fell from 34 to 31 in just an hour or two after sunset, and all the water just semi froze and stayed on the roads. Very hard to tell what was slush enough to grip in and what wasn’t.

Yikes. I’ll try to be careful this morning.

Northwest Branch Trail to West Hyattsville Metro is clear except for the bridges, which have some light snow and a lot of footprints and bike tracks. NW Branch to Sligo Creek Trail looks like it wasn’t cleared/treated, but I didn’t ride that direction to find out.

Lisa, don’t know if you recall but we met briefly at the Schuylkill century. I look forward to meeting and doing some (slow) miles with the rest of you!

I totally remember you, Trish! And I remember being confused briefly, because I knew you lived in MD, but the first time I saw you was in Philadelphia. Looking forward to seeing you again!

Does anyone know why I got dropped from my team, the Maryland Inquisition? Thanks much!

Hi Sarah! I don’t think you got dropped– there might have been a glitch in the system. Brünø Moore is the captain of the Maryland Inquisition– if you’re having problems joining the team, I’d message him and let him know. Looking forward to having you on our team!

    Lisa – what’s your instrument?
Don’t worry about speed on rides. Most of our rides are pretty relaxed, except when Bruno Moore takes off and gets lost….

My major in college was clarinet, but right now I’m playing Japanese drums (taiko) with a community group, which has been loads of fun.
