This may not be at all what LuisFilipe meant by sweaty tacos, but I have just learned that there is a type of taco called tacos sudados, or sweated/sweaty tacos. Why has no one told me of these before?

That’s part of my commute, and I don’t think there is a better crossing. You can time it, waiting until traffic stops at the light, and then dashing across into the apartment parking lot. But if you do find something better, please let me know.

I used to live in Kings Park West, not far from the VRE. I can also give you a route through Fairfax City, past the Vienna metro, and up Tapawingo to the W&OD. It’s a bit further than Sunyata’s route, but doesn’t include any gravel.

I hate to tell you this, but there are at least two people who show up on the leaderboard who never registered for Freezing Saddles this year (but who are members of the Strava club and have authorized Strava in the past)–Elaine M and Robyne M. We were planning on playing the reindeer games but not the competition. There could be others, as well.
