Im looking to raise my Eddington number to 62 and get to 5200 miles again.
That should be enough.

AlexandriaBikerParticipantHave you shown the video to Alexandria PD ? They may go out and have a conversation with the driver.

“What is Trollheim?”

I might have gotten them to come take the report if I had called at the scene of the crash.
BPAC asked for some additional changes at this intersection, but they have yet to be agreed to, though getting a Leading Pedestrian Interval (LPI) might happen.
BPAC asked for the LPI nearly a year ago. I think we got our answer from T&ES.
AlexandriaBikerParticipantAdam Tuss is not biker friendly. He did a rather biased piece on the King Street bike lanes in 2013:
AlexandriaBikerParticipantBob, I’d like to see your video on Twitter and sent directly to @alexandriaPD. The 3 foot law was broken and they refused to do anything about it again. The culture has to change.
AlexandriaBikerParticipantCross-posted to Twitter with a link to get more exposure. That stretch of trail gets a lot of use. Also included @NPSGWMP in the Tweet.
July 19, 2016 at 8:20 pm in reply to: Would like reader feedback and thoughts on my accident on Wilson Bridge #1055495AlexandriaBikerParticipantA few years ago several of us in Alexandria tried to get MD State Highway Administration (MDSHA) to do something about the expansion joints and gaps in the main span of the bridge which are so wide and dangerous for bicyclists. MDSHA came out and inspected and I even happened to be riding by when they were there doing the work, so am certain they investigated. At the end of the day MDSHA did nothing. “The bridge is designed to move motorized vehicles and bikers and pedestrians should be happy we got a trail” was the message that was conveyed.

Were the police called and was a police report filed?
Thanks,
Bob TAlexandriaBikerParticipantIs the location at the north end of the airport or at the south end near the Four Mile Run intersection and bridge?
Thanks

I left work much later than usual today and came upon a serious bike crash on the MVT just before the first overpass going southbound. A gentleman in his 50s/60s was on the trail lying on his back with gashes on his arms and his legs. His right eye was swollen shut and he had some lacerations on his head. Judging by the fact that he was throwing up, I am guessing he suffered a concussion as well. He was riding a Pinarello Prince which was off to the side in the grass. A rider that came upon the scene who was a physician asked a few questions and helped him to move off of the trail into the grass to lie down. In the meantime, 911 was called and help soon arrived. They took him off on a stretcher board and I left shortly thereafter.
Unfortunately, no one at the scene knew what had transpired.
Stay safe out there everyone.
AlexandriaBikerParticipantI suggest this thread get pinned to the top of the topic or the top of the forum. Unacceptable behavior.
How do we make that happen?

Please take a minute to follow the link above and send a note to your delegate in Richmond. Ask them to support SB117 Dooring and SB669 Road Maintenance bills.

Virginia Bicycling FederationAlexandriaBikerParticipantI submitted the request to Google back in November but after several weeks I never got a response from them. I happened to check the other day and it was updated. Google Maps lets users make suggestions for new locations and corrections. Open Street Maps on the other hand allows users to make their own corrections. I have submitted to both.

Are you able to filter for just bikes? Otherwise I think the Army-Navy users may be runners.
The down arrow next to 2014 vs 2015 gives you options to show bikes, runners or both. As presented only bike data is shown.
