    According to PP

    WARNING – an incident of “clotheslining” on the W&OD took place Friday, 11/6. FYI, according to Green Lizard Cycling: “We received reports of kids at mile 26 running wire across the trail and trying to “clothesline” cyclists. They caused an accident today that could have been much more serious if the cyclists hadn’t noticed one of the kids on the side of the trail and slowed down. If you encounter this situation we URGE you to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Department.” That number is: (703) 777-1021.

    That’s just terrifying. I hope the rider wasn’t too hurt and the kids were caught.

    “Kids” or teenagers? There should be serious charges for something like this. They could easily break someone’s neck or back and kill that person.

    Valid point, it could be attempted theft or worse.

    Mile 26 is in Ashburn, is that correct? Not to say they couldn’t turn up anywhere.

    Carolina Brothers is at the 27.5 mile mark not at 26 which IIRC is a bit west of Smith Switch Station.
