Unless it is below freezing, I can usually get by with a wool long sleeve and my windbreaker. I HATE PANTS. As soon as it gets above 38 degrees I shed those things and go for the “dimpled red leg look.”

I know, right? I hate when people are all, “Sir? Would you please put your pants on? SIR??”

4Realz – I would much rather loose some of my copious leg hair to wild animals or frostbite, than bow to “the man” and put on some of those insulated stockings that are so popular these days. Next stop Oppressionville, population, pants.

In all seriousness, this is the opposite of me. I’m a shorts-wuss. Temps dip below 60 degrees and I have to cover those knees.

I wore this crazy Endura Merino baselayer today. I had a long sleeve jersey over it, and my Bontrager shell… and I was sweating like a OINK pig! OINK!

that Merino stuff is insane. I seriously think it’s only meant to be worn when the temps are near zero.

..except for the socks! ugh. I have some merino socks and some sidi diablo boots, and my little piggies were kind of cold this morning :(

I blame the jersey. The wool is innocent!

Here are some familiar folks discussing winter commuting.

Read that this morning! Cool stuff. I’m planning on riding through most of the winter as well. Unlike Elizabeth I have a more uphill going commute than return commute. :)
