I shouted at Honeybadger6 under the W&L parking lot and saw Rootchopper starting his climb out of the TR Island parking lot.

You did? Hmmm… Admittedly, I don’t know what/where the W&L parking lot is. Sorry I missed you!
July 16, 2013 at 1:19 pm #975487MikeyParticipantI have spotted Rootchopper twice in the last 2 days. I can set my watch to him, as I usually pass him somewhere on Columbia Island. How far East lets me know if I’m running on time or late. Today it was the Humpback Bridge, cool a couple of minutes early.
July 16, 2013 at 1:28 pm #975489BilskoParticipantWe must be on pretty close schedules…I’m seeing Rootchopper just about every day twice a day on my MVT route to work and home again.
Leave the house between 8 and 815, ride to work in Crystal City (20-25 mintues), then around 5PM head back the opposite way.
There was a loooooong train of riders at the Lynn St. crossing on the MVT this morning – I had to cue up way at the back. Finally, a bike traffic jam for me to b%^&tch about!

Wait, I’m confused–I thought you were supposed to fly past everyone waiting, and then go really slowly once you’re across!
July 17, 2013 at 11:51 am #975590americancycloParticipantlovely chat with eminva this morning riding in to DC, despite being honked at on M St. I did my best to behave and not harass the driver when he got stuck at the light.
Then crossed paths with Mr. One Eighth himself, and felt instantly ashamed that my kit did not match my bike.

Nice riding with you! And I want to see the kit that matches the beautiful purple bike.

We both needed a break from the heat… so being rocket scientists we stood in the sun and talked for about 10 minutes… not our brightest moment!

Yeah, it gets really hot when you turn off the breeze. I sat down there yesterday to adjust my shoe, and my skin turned positively incandescent.

Hmmm I thought that riding out to FMCC III with five real rocket scientists (on their way to Orbital Sciences- kit tagline was “It really is rocket science”) would have made me smarter… guess not.
