Don’t forget, registration officially ends at 11:59:59 PM on December 24, which is less than a week from now. No one who registers after that is guaranteed a place on a team. I’ve tried to give people a reasonable amount of time to register; please don’t wait until the last minute!

Here’s a link to description of how to enter and how to play. And here’s a direct link to the registration form.

Happy to help out with it, but think I may take a pass this year. Stupid small surgical thing to back has it so I can’t really ride for a little bit (well more can’t shower unless someone replaces this gauze thing, ie my wife, so yahhh). And I dont want to disenfranchise a team by having a high bar. But i love it and want to help.

Hope you recover quickly from your injury! Given that you’re a veteran, you can always sign up to be a slacker. That’s not done with the regular registration form, but there will be instructions on the forum come January.

Carol: Not to be stupid, but should I have gotten any kind of confirmation e-mail from my registration? I have one from the Strava group, but nothing that I could find from the BAFS registration website. I just want to make sure I don’t miss out

(And let me apologize now to my future teammates: I will almost certainly NOT be an every day rider this year, due to starting the year out of town, and without a bike).

In theory, you should have received a confirmation. However, in some instances e-mail providers seem to be blocking the e-mails. I can confirm that you are registered. (That’s how I knew you were volunteering to help with happy hour.)

As for starting the year out of town and without a bike, if you rent a bike, out of town miles will count. However, even if you don’t, most people don’t ride every day. We really want people to participate, even if they won’t have a lot of miles or bike every day.

I never received a confirmation either. Nothing in my spam folder. I did get one from Strava and I have been able to see that I am included on there with my manual entries.

Yeah, some e-mail providers seem to be deleting them entirely, rather than even putting them into spam. I tried myself before the site went live, and the e-mail went just fine to several of my accounts, but would not go to AOL even in the spam folder. However, you are in fact signed up. And for others, if you got the confirmation on the site, you are signed up even if you never got the e-mail.

I’ll probably do the slacker one then. The injury is annoying me since it’s been keeping me from doing much exercise at all. I never realized how much I missed it.

Nice to see so many folks participating this year.

I filled out a late registration, but noted to go slacker if I can per previous reasons. Eg, i dont think ill make 815 miles or close to it. I will try though if i can figure it out
