I don’t see it online, and unfortunately any GPS gadget is excluded from their anniversary sale, so you only get the 10% member refund next March. I might buy Planet Bike wired bike computer since it’s water proof and displays almost all information on one screen, but the odometer only goes to 999 Miles before rolling over to zero, but it’s worth the price. Here is a link to download the manual in case anyone is interested(Under “Related stuff” to the right).
Looks like they sold out. Well, it was about 50% off and an older model.

May 29, 2014 at 4:01 pm #1002777hoznParticipantPlanetCyclery is running 40% off Striders with code “SaveOnStrider”. That brings the new PRO (<5lbs) model to under $100! (Free shipping.) If I could find a reason to buy a second Strider, I would; these little bikes are phenomenal. I was initially skeptical of their plastic foam tires, but their point about them being lightweight is right on.

too bad I missed the short lived special REI deal on the 800 bundle
You didn’t miss a thing. GPS devices were excluded from their 20% off anniversary sale, so you get the standard 10% off for members. Today however, I am seeing the Garmin Edge 800 Bundle on clearance at 50% off($324.93). It’s sold out in stores and the only Garmin on this sale, but you can order it online and choose store pickup. Some stores get earlier delivery than others, the web site shows delivery dates.
I ended up buying Planet Bike Protege 9.0 Bike Computer, mostly because it’s weatherproof and has a lot of information on one screen. I can use my phone for GPS. The odometer goes to 99,999.99 Miles, not 999 Miles like the manual says. Strangely, despite the store having 3 in stock for a long time, they shipped it to the store, which took about 3 to 4 days. I didn’t try going to the store and ask them if I can just get one from what they already have.

June 11, 2014 at 2:01 pm #1003850DismalScientistParticipantShipping appears to be $100 per bike. These come in one size only. What’s a front wheel stabilizer? It sounds to me that they don’t trust their headsets.

A spring that keeps an unloaded front wheel straight, to keep it from flopping when up on the double leg kickstand.
June 11, 2014 at 2:41 pm #1003859dasgehParticipantI passed along to the APS SRTS Coordinator, in hopes that he or another school system could get the “fleet of bikes” the guy is looking to donate. If anyone else here knows other SRTS Coordinators, you might want to pass along.

June 12, 2014 at 9:56 pm #100399683bParticipant$300 for a Reynolds 853 cross bike.
The seller notes that the bike is Reynolds 853 Pro Team, but LeMond actually mislabeled many of the bikes that year. It’s really 853 “select” (an 853 main triangle with 531 headtube and stays). Still seems like a nice deal on a great steel frame when it’s already built up with older parts.
One of these built up with a cobbled together kit of newer and older parts is my do-everything bike.
June 13, 2014 at 6:01 pm #1004061EmmParticipantTomorrow is one of Hudson Trail’s 20% off days if you’re a member of a local “Outdoor Clubs, Gyms, Pools, Groups, Boy Scout Troops, Girl Scout Troops, Yoga Studios, Muddy Buddy Races, Spartan Races, Adventure Races, Parks, Nature Conservancies or any other LOCAL organization or entity that is in any way associated with health, fitness or the outdoors!”. Pretty sure you could convince them a WABA membership card counts for this. It’s from 10-12 I think.
Revolution Cycles is also doing 10% off bikes and 20% off accessories until noon tomorrow. After noon its 5% off bikes, 10% off accessories. I’ll probably stop by there early to get clipless pedals installed on my hybrid so I can figure them out before I switch to riding the road bike in a few weeks. I figure at 20% off they’re still pricier than amazon, but if I buy them there they might be nicer to me when they install them and fit them for me

Not much help if you are off on an insane bike ride in the wilds of southern Marynand during those hours. Do you think if I take my Total 200 finisher medal in on Sunday they’ll still give me a discount?
