^^^^^^
That is way to purdy for a cross bike. You need to muddy that up.December 26, 2013 at 11:13 am #989238Jason BParticipant@Subby 72679 wrote:
I got those ridiculous lobster mitts that Vince has been seen modeling around town. Tried them out today and they were clutch, clutch, clutch..
I second the motion, the word clutch shall be brought back into the vocabulary as meaning awesome! Totally nice score on the mitts.
December 26, 2013 at 1:44 pm #989244jabberwockyParticipantOnly cycling related things were a GoPro and a new multi-tool. I didn’t have much on my Xmas list that was cycling-related this year.
December 26, 2013 at 2:03 pm #989247creadingerParticipantI got (myself) a Topeak seatbag for my surly and a Banjo Bros barrel bag for my IF.
Only 6 months into home ownership, I needed house stuff way more than bike stuff.
December 26, 2013 at 3:42 pm #989251TwoWheelsDCParticipantBar Mitts! It is, however, 75 degrees here in south Florida, so I won’t need them for my next few rides.
December 26, 2013 at 4:07 pm #989134bobco85ParticipantDidn’t get any cycling-related presents because I have already bought everything I pretty much need plus my family wouldn’t know how to get the right thing (like they’d probably get me MTB stuff for my road bike, so maybe it’s better they don’t make that mistake).
I did, however, get looks of shock and concern from my family (especially the relatives from out-of-town) due to the fact that I biked from my apartment in Ballston to my brother’s house in Springfield (near Braddock/Backlick) and back on Christmas Eve! I had to explain that the layers and face mask I was wearing actually were keeping me warm. It’s a quick reminder that biking 10 miles to get somewhere in hilly terrain at freezing temperatures and enjoying it just might not be as normal as I think.
December 26, 2013 at 5:11 pm #989260vvillParticipantI got the 3rd BikeSnob book, and… a PBR cycling cap! (I already got myself a FG/SS bike in November.)
December 26, 2013 at 5:27 pm #989262sjclaeysParticipantFor cycling I received Castelli Extremo gloves and an Ibex wool jersey, both of which kept me warm today. For cycling themed I received mini-cog and pedal cufflinks and a belt made out of a used inner tube with a buckle made out of a used chain.
December 26, 2013 at 8:25 pm #989268eminvaParticipantThis was the year of technology at our house so I didn’t get anything specifically bike related. However, I did get a new phone that replaces the phone with the broken camera so maybe now I can take some One-Eighth sighting photos.

December 26, 2013 at 8:35 pm #989270DirtParticipantSatan Claus brought me over a gallon of liquor in various different forms. Not sure if that means that I was naughty or nice.
December 26, 2013 at 9:50 pm #989277dkelParticipantI got no bike gear! I think most people in my life don’t really want to spring for items they think are nutty to begin with; my wife, on the other hand, says she knows I’m just going to buy all the gear for myself anyway, so she got me other things (makes sense, really). I did get some bikey stuff, though, like this bow tie with tiny bikes on it:

and this fair-trade art item from Kenya:

My wife got me three shipments from bikeloot, which she labeled “from ‘The Forum’.” (Thanks, Forum!)
My brother got me a gift card to Road ID. (Anyone have one of these things? Suggestions what I should get?)
I did end up with more than $100 worth of LBS gift cards, so I will buy some gear for myself (just as my wife predicted).December 27, 2013 at 3:54 am #989296PotomacCyclistParticipantEr, there are a lot of post-holiday sales, online and in stores, this week. Probably in January too. Time to get gifts for yourself. I can always use another pair of cycling/running tights/winter pants or beanies at this time of the year.
However, the pickings are slim at some places. They only have one or two sizes for many of the sale items.

Stop trying to make “fetch” happen. It’s not gonna happen!

It means you’re GOING to be naughty. The extent of said naughtiness will depend on amount consumed and your tolerance.
