    I don’t recall ever seeing someone riding on the GW Parkway north of Old Town. Yet yesterday and today, I saw different cyclists coming off the GW to get to Key Bridge. Are these people riding in protest of the renewed NPS rule against it or something?

    I’ve seen two different Darwin Award candidates pulling that stunt during morning rush hour.
    I think the first one is my favorite. He managed to wobble into a parked car while trying to squeeze past traffic stopped at the light on Bashford Lane before turning onto the Parway.

    2nd best thing about Bike DC is that you get to ride on GW Parkway to your heart’s content!!!

    Yarp. That’s an old photo. I love it because the smile on Chris’ face really means that the wants to light me on fire and warm his hands over the flames engulfing my charred corpse. He’s nice like that. :D

    That day still stands out as the most miserable day I ever spent on a bike. Out for nearly the entire day in 35 degree, soaking rain. I got home and my bike frame was full of water almost to the top tube. I spent like 45 minutes in a hot shower trying to warm up. :)

    Yes. From northbound GW. Though they could have just been using the road as a crossing from a trail or something – I didn’t see how far they had come.

    Both the riders I saw hopped onto the Parkway at the northern edge of Alexandria and proceeded toward DC from there.
