I have a similar situation. I figure I’m going to get my 11 points on my coffee run to 7-11 by augmenting mileage by doing donuts on TwoWheelDC’s front lawn to test out my studded tires.

Sorry Ochos, I’m out of the country (lounging on a beach, logging swims)- just joined the team but won’t be riding until week 2… Hans will represent for me, I’m sure…
Yeah, I’ll ride at least a small section of your commute before you return. I had my alarm all set for 5:45 to [hopefully] KOM the new year’s day morning riding, but I made an executive decision around 4am that this was a horrible idea. We’re off to a slow start, I’m afraid
Enjoy the beach!

That is awesome, and a serious throw-down start to the competition. I had no hope of the morning KOM, it turns out

January 1, 2013 at 7:32 pm #958645mwhatleyParticipantLogged a few miles on the bike today (Lets go Team 1!) and was thinking – is there a page with an overall leaderboard that shows every team’s scores? If not, thats totally cool but would be a “nice to have”.
Happy New Years everyone!

No worries. He left me at the turn off from mvt to my house. He still had to turn around and ride back home (15 miles? we met at gravelly and had each done about 8, so that seems about right), and said something about still more after that running errands… My legs are done for the day, but he was nice enough to not leave me eating dust somewhere along the way. We refueled on pho just before he dropped me on my way home, so he should have plenty of energy for more miles (thanks, team 4!).

Also, EJWillis62 if you commute up from the bridge to Oxon Hill Rd, I am seriously impressed! Rode it for the first time today – it’s a heck of a climb.

Sorry I got there late and only got to say hi briefly! I misjudged how long it would take me to get from Hains to Old Town. I think the next event should be something like a happy hour, where it’s easier to come and go as you please (hint to anyone who might want to put one together).
It was nice riding with everyone at Hains. Good showing from the forum folks!
January 1, 2013 at 10:59 pm #958653Rod SmithParticipantFun day. That Pho soup hit the spot, good call. It was nice to ride with some of you and to meet some of you.
January 1, 2013 at 11:26 pm #958654MikeyParticipantHelp… Where is the leader board again?
