According to The Washcycle, DDOT director Terry Bellamy announced that CaBi would add 50 new stations in DC early next year. DDOT confirmed this with a post on their official Twitter feed. These stations are in addition to the previously announced 32 stations, which are scheduled to be added as soon as next month.
Given that the NPS has agreed in principle to allow stations on the Mall, it’s reasonable to assume that this large expansion of the system will include some stations near the Smithsonian museums and monuments/memorials on the National Mall.
Wow. CaBi is continuing to grow and succeed in its 2nd year of existence.

NOTE: Arlington is still in the process of completing its expansion, with 30 stations to be added in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor. However, those stations may not be added as quickly as the ones in DC. Recent statements implied that the rollout may not be finished until well into next year.
