in the mean time, remind me who’s #2 overall on individual average speed?
I’m sure I can take #1 back by the end of the competition.
There are no points for speed!
Sorry about the sinuses, though.

THIS IS THE ONLY LEADERBOARD THAT MATTERS!

I thought the forum didn’t allow all-caps posts.
It was an honest reflection of how loudly I said it, in my head.

You should join @Tim_Kelley and I at Black Hills circuit race on Mar 22. Cat 5 and 4/5 races!

It’s on our team calendar – I’ll be doing both the 5 and the 4/5, too. the crap weather is wreaking havoc with all the early season race cancellations, tho – we’re getting antsy.

Yeah, we’ll see. Last year winter ended with a bang; I expect nothing less from this one. I was gonna suggest you could work with Tim and myself, but now that I’m reminded you’re on a legit team, we’ll just consider the gauntlet thrown!
Sorry to hijack your team thread.

Time to get those “Beat Veloworks” kits finally made up?

I think you and Nate had the right idea for proper kit during the last couple CX races.

+1 on all of this. Freezing Saddles was designed as a commuting challenge, which means consistency is rewarded above overall mileage. If you’re not a cycle-commuter, you can do the sleaze rides quite easily, and still rack up points like a commuter. If you approach it like a recreational rider, you’ll lose out on most of the points (we’ll lose out on most of the points).
The current standings is great example of this. While we are in 5th place having ridden 6,500 miles, Doozy Dozers are in 3rd place with fewer miles, 6,486. We need more rides from more people.
