3/19/25 Sadly it’s the last day of FS. Had to get out before dawn because headed out of town. When I did Wordle this morning, the first thing that popped into my head was a summer camp song about sharing God’s love. Hence the sweet chapel at Bishop O’Connell in Arlington. In the darkness with the red glow from inside and the moon in the upper left, even an Atheist might believe: đŸŽ¶ it only takes a SPARK to get a fire going…Passing it on!!!

    Verse 1
    It only takes a spark
    To get a fire going
    And soon all those around
Can warm up in its glowing
That’s how it is with God’s love
    Once you’ve experienced it
You spread His love to ev’ryone
You want to pass it on
    Verse 2
What a wondrous time is spring
When all the trees are budding
    The birds begin to sing
    The flowers start their blooming
That’s how it is with God’s love
    Once you’ve experienced it
You want to sing it’s fresh like spring
You want to pass it on
    Verse 3
I wish for you my friend
    This happiness that I’ve found
    You can depend on Him
It matters not where you’re bound
I’ll shout it from the mountain top
I want my world to know
The Lord of love has come to me
I want to pass it on

    3/19 spark

The sun appeareth a spark in this majestical roof, fretted with golden fire…

It doth spark a remembrance of loops ridden in final freezing saddles nights past.

Fare the well, freezing saddlers! Thou dost spark joy!

    Kelley and Glenn,

Thank you for sponsoring the Photo Scavenger Hunt pointless prize. I certainly looked forward to figuring out how to depict the Wordle word each day, For me, squeezing out the win was just icing on the cake. Each word was a challenge to see how I could depict it, but also it was fun to see what the other participants came up with. Thank you for your time judging all the submissions and in providing feedback on your decisions. Well done and thanks for providing the motivation to ride and chase this pointless prize. To all, congratulations for your pictures and a special shoutout to Christina and Janet for chasing the “word” for all 78 days.

Thanks to our judges and congrats to Casey! Loved the final points increases to liven it up at the end, too.

I definitely got to know my neighborhood way better, and am sad that the horses up at the RCP Nature Center may not be there next year for me to test my NERVE or check out a STAMPing hoof. Funding shortages, alas, although in this case not a Federal issue.

I’m getting a new camera for my birthday – I’ll be back! Cheers, Fiona

I echo the sentiments of Casey and Fiona. Thank you Glenn and Kelly for the time you took to review every entry. The Scavenger Hunt is a tried and true favorite of many FS players. Thanks for keeping it alive. Jenn

Belated heartfelt thanks to Kelly and Glenn for sponsoring this fun game! It motivated me to continue riding on days when all I wanted to do was go back to my warm house!
