    02/02/2025 CHORE

It’s always a bit of a chore to ride around Hains Point with the wind and the cold, but I’ll bet it’s also a chore sitting in a National Parks police car to make sure no one rides around the Point when it’s closed. Considered some Poggio laps, but the bad asphalt conditions make that an annoying chore too. Especially at night

Everything feels like a chore these days!

    2/3/2025 REVUE

The advertising says that DC Productions hosts the Magic Mike Night Male Revue. I must confess, though, that I did not personally verify this by watching a show.

Encore Stage & Studio https://encorestage.org/  is apparently housed in this church. It’s cool cuz the REVUEs they put on are all by kids for kids. My daughter went to a summer camp like the ones these guys put on for years, and it was awesome. At the end of the summer the whole camp invited the parents, & we watched the little kids perform back to back  short skits in small groups – and then got to see the big kids, who worked with the little kids as counselors -in- training, perform a play.

In her last year, my daughter played the lead in A Winter’s Tale – and she was so good, I’m still kicking myself for not having arrived prepared to film it. (We had flip phones back then – my daughter is 27 now.) She’d always been a bit of a drama queen 😄 but I’d had NO IDEA she had that kinda acting talent….

Anyhow I came to THIS place for the pic because the ppl who put on the camp my daughter went to https://www.educationaltheatrecompany.org/ only had a PO box listed, so I figured there wouldn’t be anything to take a pic of…. If I’d realized the address on Encore’s website would be directing me to a church with no signs anywhere on or around it indicating  that a kids’ theater company was housed there…. I mighta gone instead to the school building which had housed her summer camp. 🤷🏻 I guess kids’ theater companies probably all operate on a shoestring buddget

    2/3 – Revue

If you come here on the right night, you can see the Savage Men Revue, a “unforgettable bachelorette party with hot men with the sexiest dance moves”. We certainly didn’t see that at one of the Freezing Saddles Happy Hours

I have to say that you all did a GREAT job with a HORRIBLE word today! When I did the puzzle and posted it, I couldn’t think of anything that would motivate ME to go look for a REVUE. So well done, everyone! I hope tomorrow’s word is better but I think we’re scraping the bottom of the Wordle barrel this time!

Here’s my version (not for points):

Mother Nature always provides the REVUE most worth watching!

2/3/25 Revue – The Silver Spring Black Box Theatre would be great for a Freezing Saddles Revue: it seats 156 in a cosy space and we could even ride our bikes inside and do wheelies (it’s a studio format). Laughter aplenty!
