I got pix of 4 different churches today for this, and this pic is the one in which you can see the church the least (rear left corner) but I’ve always loved how it screams PETE at me. I think of it as the Church of Pete.
There’s also a sign way over on the left (other side of the church so impossible to get into 1 picture with this one) – the kind where they put the letters in, usually saying when the sermons are. Instead, this sign says “GOD, HELP US TO BE THE PERSON OUR DOGS THINK WE ARE.” It’s on my Strava post. I woulda added it here if a 2nd pic were allowed. 😁💕🎊
For those who didn’t know him, Pete Beers used to post regularly on his fb page “If you’re reading this, you are loved” and he really lived that.He was this awesome idiosyncratic guy. He was my bike mechanic at Bikenetic for 13 years. We lost him to a tree at Lake Accotink I think 2.5 years ago 😔
