Ha, that's me in the back in the red coat, arms folded and thinking when are we going to get the show on the road!

My 12 year old loved it. My 10 year old probably would have loved it, but I didn't want to be outnumbered. Biggest issue for her was waiting patiently for the start. There was already a bail-out for a 10 mile or so course, wasn't there? A family rate would be a nice touch.

Default My DC Bike Ride 2016 Part 1

A four part series a 4x speed, but otherwise unedited. I started in the 12 mph corral.

Yes, lots of logistics lessons to be learned (I think I started shaking my head at what was to come about 2 miles into the ride, as the lanes narrowed). And the kid's participation and cost of registration/inclusion issues are clearly on the list for next year's edition. I am generally optimistic about those outcomes.
Speaking of outcomes, where do we find out how many participants there were, and how much was raised for WABA's Vision Zero initiatives?

    got it from the source:
    7111 total riders
    399 youth riders (8-18)
    118 ride along (3-7)
    $38,750 raised for WABA

Can someone do the math please?

    *grabs calculator wistling to herself*
    *hits enter*
    *frowns*

Just on a simple calculation of dollars per rider... $5.44. This truly is the dismal science.
