149 miles to 6000. 10 days to go. Seems doable.
I believe in you Steve O.

Is anybody play in 2017? I got my January imperial century done yesterday on a variety of surfaces. That makes 73 consecutive months.

I'm in! January century was in the Virginia Capital Trail with Komorebi and Chris. Rode from Jamestown to Richmond and back. It was a very foggy day. I had water on the glasses the whole time and the view of Richmond was completely obscured. At 105 miles, it was my longest ride.

I'm on a 9 month streak for imperial centuries.

Ten month streak for imperial centuries: https://www.strava.com/activities/86...S&v=1486938757

Freezing Saddles Team Ten group ride to Leesburg for beer. Mostly an out and back on the W&OD with the long way home and some HP laps for dessert.

#3 for 2017 and my consecutive month streak now stands at 75. Today's ride was 112 miles starting in Frankfurt and riding to Mainz/Hechtsheim staying north of the Main. There I participated in my first German RTF (Rad Tour Fahrt?) event. This was organized by the Mainzer RSV and I rode their middle distance (72 km). I had some issues with the route I loaded in my GPS so I missed some turns and didn't bother getting my card stamped at the one control point I did find. After the event I rode back to Frankfurt on the southern side of the Main.

On an 11 month streak for imperial centuries. This was by far the most lackadaisical of my centuries. I had initially just planned to do 30 miles at Hains Point. My feet were cold and I felt awful so I was headed home. I ran in to Rimas who was headed to the Doughneuring Ride II and he convinced me that it wouldn't hurt to go to the start and have a cup of coffee before going home. That turned into doing most of the doughnut ride. I was feeling pretty good after all the doughnuts so I did a few more HP laps before having dinner with Komorebi and then going home.

    Default Power of 10 Challenge

I did a second century in March. To celebrate my birthday and the end of Freezing Saddles, I went to Hains Point with the intention of doing 37 laps for 37 years. It was so much fun that I kept going. Komorebi came along and gave me a really cool gift to track the 50 Centuries in 50 States project. Ran into Bob James shortly after arriving and shared a bunch of laps. Ricky #BikeEveryDay showed up for a bunch of laps as did Mr. T. Later in the day, bunches of people came out for the FSLNHPP and I got to share lots of birthday laps with lots of friends.

I ended up riding 152 miles before I stopped to socialize for the remaining few hours, but I was feeling good enough that I think I could have pulled off a double century.

Some of those territories might need a water bike

    Default Metric Mania

So far this year, I have done seven metric (or more) centuries. Wow. For a non-road-bike-owning person, that is a lot.

    January 1st - 1/1/100k gravel ride: 62.4 miles
    https://www.strava.com/activities/818043348

January 20th - Inauguration escaping gravel ride: 65 miles
    https://www.strava.com/activities/838524493

January 28th - Solo W&OD for Beerneuring points: 72 miles
    https://www.strava.com/activities/847547218

    February 12th - Team 10 Beernuering ride: 76 miles
    https://www.strava.com/activities/864581039

    March 4th - Team 10 Pie ride: 65.1 miles
    https://www.strava.com/activities/887803023

March 11th - Kanza gravel training ride: 81.4 miles
    https://www.strava.com/activities/896469687

March 18th - Consolation ride for cancelled 200k: 70.1 miles
    https://www.strava.com/activities/905409842

I am hoping to get one in every month this year since I failed miserably at it last year. In addition to several gravel imperial centuries and one infamous imperial DOUBLE century coming up on June 3rd.
