    Default Ride and be counted

Today and Saturday, Alexandria is conducting bike/ped counts at several key intersections in the city.

If you ride down Commonwealth near the intersection with Mt. Vernon in Del Ray between 5-7pm, stop and say hi if you want.

Will anyone else be out counting this evening?

Not today, but I'll be counting on the MVT just south of Daingerfield Island on Saturday.

I was counted twice by creadinger. Could have made it 3 times, but I thought that would be pushing it.

Unless those babies have boots on the ground, it's a stretch to classify them as "pedestrians".

Sounds like someone needs to tell their baby to man up and walk

The directions to counters are to call them pedestrians. I guess because without a pedestrian pushing them, they do not go anywhere. There is a category for others - to include I guess skateboarders, inline skaters, and scooters. Which unlike stroller riders, go on their own.
