The current weather.com says 19 mph wind with gusts to 29 mph. But the hourly just says 12 mph starting at 4:30. Anyone been out recently to experience what's actually happening? I want to avoid a harrowing experience on the bridge if I can.

I just rode from L'Enfant Plaza up to Columbia Heights. I wasn't on the bridge, but it was windier yesterday than it is right now, at least for where I was riding. I'd be more worried about the thunderstorms they said would be tonight but sure look imminent.
Flags outside my window say pretty windy, but not crazy windy. #science

Ok, I guess I'll take the metro then, even though I already ate the afternoon candy bar I can only justify if I'm riding up the Custis.
It was great coming north-north-east earlier this afternoon.
Clear out some space on the crowded train and do jumping jacks, burpees, pull-ups and push-ups on the commute home. That will burn up the candy bar calories.
[No comment on whether this will cause a riot on the crowded Metro train and create unpleasant consequences for you or for others.]
Iz really not that bad.
Flags are starting to droop. Let's ride!
Rode south on MVT around 2:30pm, then north on MVT around 7pm after the rain. The slog north of the airport was a slog both ways. Clearly I had somehow offended the gods.
