    Alexandria continues to set the region's standard in cycling-related government transparency and outreach to those who cannot attend BPAC meetings!

    BPAC is not a government entity, nor do we have an affiliation with the City. We are a group of volunteers working to make walking and biking safer and better in Alexandria. We do meet with City staff, attend public meetings, volunteer for City commissions and boards and speak before these commission and boards, including city council.

    Sorry to not be precise in my comment. Such government/private citizen partnerships are great. Since the committee is acting on behalf of the bicycling community and its actions and priorities potentially have an impact on government policy, it is good for the committee to be proactively transparent.
