    Default Harden up BAFS people...

Friend of a friend sent this. Gavrilov Station (St. Petersburg) to Vyborg.

A wee bit of ice... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo3aDGHfxjM

Cannot believe I would ever say this (certainly never before BAFS), but I am quite jealous!

meh, really tough riding on smooth ice or hard packed snow with studded tyres. I saw no IRoDs in that video.

A buddy of mine competed in the Iditasport race this year. It's like BAFS, but you sleep in a tent while you're not riding the bike, and you ride on a frozen river, sometimes.

Has anyone tried riding on the frozen C&O canal? I mean...why haven't I tried that yet?

I saw a guy skating on the canal west of key bridge wednesday morning.

I saw what looked like a hole in the ice east of key bridge wednesday night.

I didn't want to jump to conclusions.
