Does this mean I'm going to slip on frozen pickle juice tomorrow?

They even ventured onto the MVT! I was not pleased. I just got my snow bike set up Sunday and am rarin' to ride the ice craters. [Searching for the tongue-in-cheek emoticon. This is an exciting advancement]

For those of us slumming it on the W&OD—no brine there, I'm sure—how will an inch of snow early in the day affect the afternoon ride? Surely the early snow will get trodden on all day, and freeze further into an unpredictable, icy mess, right? So I should put on my new studded tires that have been waiting patiently by my bike for the past month and a half, right?

    Right?

It's that or I just pretend there is no snow and ride my fixie on its 25s. It's win-win, really.

Truthfully, I think I'll ride my heavy commuter, but not change out the tires. Sometimes simpler is better.

How far did they brine the MVT?

I've never heard of brining before. Up north, they only threw sand and salt on the roads ahead of time.

They also brined the trail between 110 and the cemetery. Plus it has the benefit of being slightly reflective when the bike lights shine on it.
