    Default Hains Point 100 - December 21st - Come on out ya'll!

    Hey folks,

I'm doing it again...the Hains Point 100 on December 21st.

If you know all about the HP100 - then just go here and let me know you're coming: www.hainspoint100.com.

If you've never heard of it, well, it started in 2012 as a fundraiser for WABA's Women & Bicycles program and my one-woman attempt to do 100 miles around Hains Point without passing out from boredom. So, I gathered up a bunch of friends and a bunch of great supporters to provide handups, giveaways, raffle prizes, freebies and more. I did it again last year...and now I'm putting on the HP100 once again!

This is not a formal ride, so you can show up and loop around Hains Point as many times as you'd like. All I ask is that if you participate in the festivities you provide a donation to WABA's Women & Bicycles program. Full details about what to expect can be found here: http://www.hainspoint100.com/whats-the-hp100.html

Visit the Facebook Event Page to see who else is coming. Perhaps, for some of ya'll, this could be a great meet up, pre-Freezing Saddles, day of riding!

I've got a great line-up of supporters this year which include:

    Sticky Fingers Sweets & Eats
    The Bike Rack DC
    BikeArlington
    Capital Bikeshare
    Po Campo
    Bikie Girl Bloomers
    bird industries
    http://spokesetc.com/
    Acme Pie Co.
    Chainspirations.com
    Peanut Butter & Co.
    Ass Savers
    Proteus Bicycles
    Oury Grip USA Inc.
    Revolution Cycles, Inc.
    Kozie Prery
    Nuu-Muu
Bikenetic - Full Service Bicycle Shop
    KIND
    House of Steep
    Special FX Lighting, Inc.
    Handy Bikes DC
    Best Bike Rides DC
    Momentum Mag
    WTFKits

I look forward to seeing ya'll on the 21st!

Just bumping this up again...don't forget the HP100 is this Sunday!

My house is now busting with great hand-ups, giveaways and more from some awesome sponsors who are supporting Women & Bicycles. Recruit the women in your life to come join you! All are invited.

You can get more details on www.HainsPoint100.com and also on the Facebook event page where I'm updating with some of the great stuff I'll be giving away. If you're coming, please remember to fill out the "sign up" form so I have an idea of how many are coming and to send out any last minute updates.

By the way, you don't have to ride the whole 100 miles...this year the "100" means 100 miles, 100 kilometers, 100 miles (as a team), 100 minutes or 100% support for WABA's Women & Bicycles.

    See you on the 21st!

Hope to see you out there!

As long as you donate to Women & Bicycles it can even be 100 nanoseconds!

My daughter still talks about the 11 laps she did on her trail-a-bike for the first HP100.

She came home from school one day indignant that her teacher clearly didn't believe her claim that she rode her bike 33 miles.

We will be out of town this year, alas.

Like so many marriages in their third year, HP100 is getting kidical!

Quick question, before I post more details: can someone confirm that the play structure near the tip of HP still exists? Google street view shows moved Earth...
