The Airborne Guardian 29er has quickly become one of our best sellers. We, and many others, feel that it is the best value in a 29er hardtail. Period.
So we didn't want to mess too much with a good thing.
This new version of the Guardian shares most of the same spec as the first-generation (red) Guardian; same 6061-T6 Aluminum frame, the same Airborne handlebar, stem, seatpost, Small Block 8 tires, and Selle San Marco Saddle. The fork is the RockShoc XC28 TK Mg29, complete with Preload Adjustment, Rebound Adjustment, and Turnkey Lock-Out. The drivetrain is SRAM X5 shifters, and RD in 3x9 configuration. Tektro Auriga Comp hydraulic brakes. Truvativ E400 cranks. Weinmann Disc-Bull double-walled and eyeletted wheelset.

What did we change? All Guardians now come with X5 front deraileurs for better shifting and tire clearance. We've increased the fork travel to 100mm. And on the 16's, we've used the same curved top tube as used on the current Goblin to offer more stand-over clearance.
We also now have the Guardian available in 2 different colors: Mission Black or Hot White.

Guardian Retail Pice. $599.
