Thank goodness. The envy is a little less painful when the really sweet bike/frame that someone just got is not my size.

My Crust Clydesdale fork arrived and has rejuvenated the Trek 800 I bought 25 years ago! The double-wide milk crate is sized almost perfectly for two paper grocery bags. I think it could pretty easily fit four or five 12-packs of La Croix.

My new Long Haul Trucker frame build (in beautiful Celeste-like "Grandpa's Thermos" color) is now complete with the addition of Velo Orange noir hammered fenders. Throw on the Tubus Duo lowrider rack and a third bottle cage and I'm ready for touring.

I am now the proud owner of an SE Lager which I bought from huskerdont today. Love the polished finish on it. Itís my first time riding on bullhorn handle bars and the first time riding single speed. I had my third fastest time going up the incline to my house on the way home. My brain made me reach for a non existent shifter multiple times.

I also got to pet huskerdog.

I loved my SE Lager as my first real dedicated commuter. I changed the fork for carbon and put on drop bars, replaced the brakes (learned something about caliper reach!) And switched to a WI frreewheel which was *really* nice. Probably a few other mods in there, but other than lacking fender mounts it was pretty sweet.

Now that I don't pull a trailer anymore, I am considering getting another SS, though probably a SS CX. ... If/when I redesign my shed to allow nor n>3 (for me).

Now you just need to swap out that freewheel for a fixed cog.

I love both the bike and the dog, but really love the dog.

Enjoy it. It is sometimes surprising with a single speed how, with certain combinations of gradient and your own riding strengths, you can ride faster than on a geared bike. You only have one gear so you have to make it count, so you get your momentum going and just keep chugging.

Not new bike, but combo of some new bags and some hand-me-downs. The handlebar pouch just (barely) fits my tablet, with some extra padding and waterproofing added.
