Yeah, I guess the 12mm is really embraced by road, but I have the sense that gravel is moving that way too (e.g. the Foundry Overland).
I see in bikerumor that the new Pivot Vault gravel/cx bike also just changed their front axle from 15mm to 12mm. I think that is where it is headed.

F it, next year we're going to take it all the way to 11!

Well they can't get too close to 9 since that is what they just obsoleted -- or at least they have to wait some minimum amount of time before readopting a previously discarded standard. :-)

I assume the UCI will weigh in and mandate 12/12 for the race bikes and then that standard will have a long life.

    His and Hers bikes!

This was a project that took about 2 months. I went down to South Beach to get engaged and came back with a fiancee and an order for some shiny bikes.

There is a shop in Boca Raton that specializes in custom cruisers and single speed bikes that has a powder coating guy on contract that can do just about anything.

The bikes finally arrived earlier this week:

You're going to use these in the wedding, right? Maybe track stand during the vows? :-)

Just picked up this HP Velotechnik Gekko 20 on Friday. Am gonna write up a post on what it's like to ride a trike soon; want to get some more miles under my belt before I do. The seat is in the most upright position possible in the pic; I've started riding with the back of the seat pushed further back.

Purchased in June, from a great guy in Alexandria who had changed up his ride, for a sweet deal: 2013 BMC Grandfondo 01 full Di2 Ultegra, with Zipp 404 rear and 303 front (which I had rebuilt by Bill Mould at Spokes with White Industries hubs). I have never enjoyed riding a bike more... I swear it makes me faster, which is good, because I am really slow. Love.

About a month into a new commuting setup, replacing an older "regular" road bike that has moved onto a next life...

2015 model year CAADX that was nicely discounted. We are still getting acquainted with each other's habits, but so far so good. Interesting how one bike's "behavior" in terms of shifting, braking, gearing, etc. becomes sort of ingrained in the subconscious - and changing anything (for me, at least) takes some focus at first. Still, all's good.

My son spent a chunk of his own money to buy a new fixie to ride to school (Mom and Dad pitched in the rest, because N+1).

Had some nice father-son time doing the final assembly. The kid isn't as much of a hipster as he looks, in case you're wondering.
