I am excited to announce the opening of Gearin' Up Bicycles, Washington D.C.'s nonprofit (501c3) community used bike shop at 1200 Bladensburg Road NE. Gearin' Up Bicycles is a workforce development program that uses the bicycle as a tool to train and teach youth and young adults from underserved communities. Awesome news that Gearin' Up is finally set to open its doors. I've been working with Kate off and on for the past year with what ever advice I could. Phoenix Bikes also donated a bunch of surplus tools for the start up. Hope it helps.
