Bike to Work Day 2014

Hi, my employer has a big day of service where we all get to take the day off and volunteer. Last year we got about 40 cyclists together and we used phone-based GIS software to upload photos and points of interest along the W&OD trail. We worked in partnership with NVRPA and Loudoun County Govt. We're off of Pacific Blvd from the W&OD in Loudoun County.

This year they're having it on Bike to Work Day, which is both good and bad. Can anyone think of an activity where we could help in Bike to Work Day? We'd like to be able to leave from our office and do the activity by bicycle. Also, I would like to involve technology.

I thought about doing video interviews with BTWD riders, somehow. We could also leverage GIS to do some sort of crowd-sourced data collection.

Any ideas?

In Alexandria last year, we did a bike-to-work train where all of the commuters gathered at one of the BTWD meeting points and rode to DC together. You could act as a guide for those less experienced.
