Phase I of the Potomac Yard Trail from Glebe to Monroe has re-opened. The fence around the park is gone and the trail has been resurfaced.
Phase II from Monroe to Braddock should be completed in 2014.
Now that the Alexandria city council has approved them twice, unanimously, I think we can consider the King Street lanes near Janney to be beyond the debate stage and in the planning stage

I have a hard time picturing how the new cycle track will connect to the rest of Fairfax drive. Won't you end up on the wrong side of the street if you're coming from the Custis trail, take the new cycle track -- then you need to cross Glebe right?
