Two bents crossed the Potomac on the 14th street bridge this afternoon? Rootchopper? Trikes take the laid back to another level. I mean on a recumbent, you still need to balance. No napping on the two-wheeler! I wonder what would happen if Dirt on his trike with trailer and me on my diamond frame with trailer happened to be riding that narrow sidewalk from opposite directions at the same time. I get nervous passing oncoming traffic there without the trailer. I never ride the 14th street bridge with my trailer only because I've never had a reason to do so.
There are three tadpole trikes that use the 14th St bridge/MVT route home. We had us a convoy the other night.
Ran into Dirt again today, this time in the Bipartisan Security-Theater Constitution-Free Happy Fun Zone in front of the White House. Stopped to talk this time. Got jealous of his trike. At this point I'm jealous of how many of his bikes I'm jealous of. I need more bikes.
I ran into dirt yesterday while making my way back from Leesburg just before I crossed the beltway on the W&OD.
I yelled, "Pete!".
He replied, "Yo!"
We then continued on our merry old ways.
Nice to see you, sir. I'm happy that I have the trike to ride when I can't ride a bike, but DAMN am I ready to be back on a 2 wheeler. I'm trying all kinds of combinations of things that will allow me to get back on 2 wheels sooner. The trike is better than nothing, but it isn't a lot of fun to ride.
