Then I guess you'll just have to ride all weekend!

    Hope you heal up soon!

Way to hyjack the post Bilsko, no one is asking how FFX Hinterlands is doing. We all just want a chance to ride your bike.

Hope you both recover soon, I recommend a couple of beers on the patio at Liberty Tavern to help sooth the pain and regain your pride... worked a charm for me a few weeks back!

Hey, no problem. I'm OK this morning. By the looks of my shirt I must have willed myself to pull in my arms and land on my shoulder/side. Obviously I've been instilled with some sort of proper fall training from my years of skateboarding in middle school. There were no cellphones back then, so survival was key in the Western PA suburbs.

Glad to hear you're doing alright!

I didn't get off quite as easy. Fractured Acetabular means at least a month of recovery for me.

On the bright side, this will make waiting to make my next bike purchase until 2014 models come out and 2013 prices drop a bit easier! Test rides will have to wait.

Yeah - the good ole' hip socket. I wonder if the injury is due in part to the mechanics of riding fixed-gear. I can't recall exactly where my pedal stroke was when I went down, but the upward force of the pedal on my leg may have been part of the cause. The fracture is on the socket, where the femur sits - upward force may have been enough pressure to fracture. Kind of like cracking a mortar with a pestle...if that analogy makes any sense.

Then again, I'm no expert on biomechanics.
