Not Getting The Idea of Bike to Work Week

I felt the need to share this. As a Hill staffer, I use the House Staff Fitness Center to change when commuting by bike. I was excited to see that the gym decided to recognize bike to work week by having a competition of how many miles one can ride this week. However, on further inspection, I found that they are only counting miles ridden inside on a stationary bike!

Just look at it as a net positive for society and walk away. I got an email the other day from one of the admins work asking if anyone biked to work. I replied, letting her know I did, and that I would be at the Freedom Plaza BTWD stop for a while before work on Friday. She said, "Oh, we're updating the bulletin board for Bike to Work Week". I've been here 2+ years and I have no idea what bulletin board she's talking about, and even if I did, I have no clue what contribution "yes I bike to work" might have to whatever they might put up there. I'm going to have to go find this board tomorrow.
