Nice to see appropriately cloudy skies. Oh how I miss the PNW.

Thanks! To be fair, this is the first time those two guys tried the log, and I like the way my bud Nick (blue helmet) did the preload hop onto it which looks more graceful than when I do it.

I had the opportunity to volunteer on Sunday for the Alexandria Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee and the United Way for a bike ride for 17 4th graders from Cora Kelly Elementary. These kids were super amped to be on a bike ride. The big surprise at the end of the ride: New Bike Day for all of the kids.

I used to volunteer for Trails for Youth, which is a non-profit org that helps disadvantaged kids get out in the woods on mountain bikes. Very fun and rewarding, which I expect was similar for you here.

    A few questions:
    1. You couldn't have switched shirts with the kid so that he/she wouldn't have a draggy parachute that could get tangled in the wheels?
    2. When is New Bike Day for adults?

Fat man in a little shirt... Komorebi and I had the two smallest kids in our group so the shirts were a bit baggy on them.

I'll talk to the United Way guy about a very deserving adult mountain biker who needs a new bike.

Soooo, has this bike been getting any love? On dirt? Do we need to set up a dirt day for you?

Info will usually be on the BPAC facebook feed.

If you mean are we getting publicity in the local press - all I can say is that if someone wants to volunteer to help with press relations for BPAC, that would be very welcomed, IIUC.
