Black is the new black. Gray is also acceptable, or red if you really need to be loud.

He rides pink so that he can wear black. Same reason I often ride yellow or orange, or so I pretend.

Orange is an extremely acceptable bike color. It is not an acceptable clothing color.

Yellow, orange, and pink make great sock and/or accent colors! As the color of a whole garment? Pass.*

*I actually have an orange Windstopper jacket that I wear on days in the teens/20s, but it makes me sad. Also, pink jerseys are sometimes okay.

You say you want to spend only $125* for Shimano Gore Tex winter cycling boots?

    https://www.westernbikeworks.com/pro...ather-mtb-shoe

This is basically the updated version of what I've had since 2011. It's a warm boot. The way this "winter" is going, you won't need it around here much, but maybe next year it will get cold enough to use them.

    Consider going up a size.

*Price on day of post only.
