Nashbar has a SS CX bike for $350. Has fender mounts, but not rack mounts that I can tell. Also, no flip/flop hub. 418 mm chainstays. Interrupter style brake levers rather than standard drop levers.

Hmph - well it's sold out in my size/color (black 58cm) so no impulsive decisions today. I worry, though, about the really short chainstays. My San Jose had 425mm stays, and this bike is 405mm. Too twitchy, I'd suspect. I like relaxed geometry, and the attendant handling - I'm no bike messenger

First, I like the Cinelli-Mash webpage a lot: http://mashsf.com/cinelli_page/ -- It's completely useless as a webpage, but playing on a nice 24" monitor it looks good.

Second, yes, if I don't cheap out and go with something from All City or Milwaukee...then I hope to make this mine sometime soon:

I keep looking at this pic and gap b/w the rear wheel and seat tube is really bugging me. I wish they would've shortened the chain, personal pet peeve.

I don't know why, but I love Rotor cranks...I sooo wish I could've got one on my R3, but it would've been out of my price range.
