Just testing out the new spoke reflectors. Even in a very dim light, they seem to be working.

Already posted photos on the bike proj thread, but now that I have solved the chain line / backpedal mystery I am 100% happy with the new frame/bike.

It is interesting; geometry is identical to my Habanero, although I ended up dropping my bars by 2.5mm due to miscalculation on how much steerer to leave above the stem. The new frame feels very similar, though it is a bit stiffer. That could be the thru-axles or tapered steerer too. (Though tubes are also bigger.) Very happy with the ride.

Rented bike in Melbourne. With shifters on the downtube, as God intended. This of course implies God is not a cyclist because wow they're a pain to use.

Maybe God is a cyclist and just loves the eighties.

So, I saw that Judd posted in this thread and got really excited that his Hozn bike was finally built up...

The girl used to have one of these (bikes with downtube shifters), and I used to joke that she had to fill out a petition to change gears because it took so long. I'd be half way up a hill and I'd still hear all this clunking and grinding behind me. I think you have to think ahead or something with those things, I dunno, I'm not too good at that.

Hey now! I grew up with "new fangled" DT shifters and they were a improvement over the 3 speed Sturmey Archer IGH bikes of the day. (My Di-2 with syncro shift 22 speed, LED lit, LiPo powered, Edge 1000 GPS, pop up notifications, smart phone enabled, Strava uplinked, carbon frame, carbon handlebar, and carbon wheels equped bike would have been simply.

I have a DT based tandem. The rear end is so far away I have to ask the Dear Daughter if I landed on the middle of the gear after a shift. Can't hear the tikatikatikatika past ear age and added distance.

Well, they certainly *look* nice. Just don't think they have the functionality needed by someone of my, um, skill set.
