As much as I like goofing off, I don't know if I'd attend much more than once/fortnight, and more likely it'd be once/month. A good option for me in the summer months would be something that actually combines riding and going to a few different places (CaBi pubcrawl?), although I guess then in theory you can't drink very much at all.
D'oh! Freddies! Yes, sorry. we've only been there once so far.
Standard freaks me out because it always looks so crowded. I've never been in. Great place to check out parked bikes though.![]()
I had also thought of perhaps eliminating the Falls Church location in favor of something else, due to its proximity/redundancy to Shirlington/Cap City. However you just cannot beat the location for Chasin' Tails...literally feet from the W&OD; I saw that as a key factor. I'm not against switching from Chasin' Tails, though; there could be a splinter groupJust have the Thursday commuter club
I think maybe that is a topic for another thread though.
But I'm really glad people like this idea; cool to see it taking on a life of its own!
I really had a great time at cap city brewery, and the food/beer was really good too! Unfortunately, my commute has changed and that's way out of my way. I know the majority of the active people here are the Arlington-ish area, but it would be nice if at least once a month there was something in DC area. Georgetown, CapHill, etc, would be close enough for me to go to. Columbia Heights would be nice for those of us who are in Maryland or northern DC-ish areas, but not sure if we have enough. There's honestly no way that each location is going to be convenient for everyone, so "area focused" locations might work best. It seems like it breaks down in to the Arlington-ish area, the Georgetown area, then a bit more north area folks. Maybe a google map showing our "convenience zones" would help?
