Trail Wall Damage - 7/27

FYI--I received the following information from our Trails crew:

"There is a hazardous condition on the W&OD trail along Rt 66. There is a portion of the wall that has buckled above the trail. It is located between the dead ends of Quesada and Quintana Streets. It is near Madison Manor Park and East Falls Church Park. This is also the area where the Four mile run trail begins.

The contractor for VDOT will be making repairs to the wall after rush hour this afternoon. This section of trail (Brandymore Castle) will be closed during the repair. Bicycle and pedestrian traffic should detour to Sycamore Street and reconnect near East Falls Church."
