Sparrow Pond Restoration

The Four Mile Run Trail and the W&OD will serve as detours for each other as this rebuild proceeds. Just north of Columbia Pike and south of Glencarlyn Park.

Yes, they are really going after it there. When I passed by the other day it was quite a sight. My first reaction was that it was unfortunate that a number of large trees apparently needed to be removed "to create space for the new sediment collection area and expanded pools" but I guess that is why I am not a wetland remediation expert...
