Passover and Freezing Saddles final happy hour
For those celebrating Passover, there may obviously be issues getting food onsite for the final happy hour. However, City-State's website states the following:
We’ve partnered with a rotating lineup of food Vendors to offer delicious food on-site. Hours vary and you are also welcome to order from Mess Hall (1 block away) or bring your own food to enjoy.
So feel free to bring matzah or anything else you want to eat.
With regard to beverages, obviously their beers will not be kosher for Passover. They do have gluten-free alcoholic iced tea/lemonade mix and nonalcoholic lemonade available. (Their menu shows ginger beer, but they tell us they don't actually have that.)

Reason: They tell us they don't actually have ginger beer.

Thanks to you and Rumi for tracking down the info and letting folks know. As I shared with Rumi, this was a question years ago back when final happy hour was at Bier Baron, and the Happy Hour organizing committee at the time graciously made sure there were plain veggies available, etc.

Unfortunately, plain veggies would be harder to arrange this year, because City-State itself does not have food and the food truck being used doesn't appear to have any vegetable options other than kale and cabbage. I'll bring some matzah. (I couldn't find less than 5 lbs. of it this year, so I bought that. And then my seder got canceled when one member of the family I was inviting got COVID. So I've got lots of extra!) People are welcome to bring other Passover-appropriate food, either for themselves or to share.

That's great. I didn't mean to kvetch - just waxing nostalgic for past happy hours....

Stretching the boundaries a little bit, and depending on people's particular rules and preferences, there are a few potentially viable options near City-State. For example, just down the trail is the new Bryant St. Market, which has a Taqueria Habanero that uses corn tortillas (so OK for some), and for those looking for something simpler like just a bowl of steamed veggies, there's a Sala Thai just on the other side of the Metro tracks at Rhode Island Row.

I'll be bringing matzoh, butter, gefilte fish, horseradish, Clementines, and macaroons. My seder lost 6 people when one of them got COVID, so I have plenty to share if anyone wants any. Of course, if you want something different, you're welcome to bring it.
