Donner loves to sing, and his close friend Blitzen loves to join in. Blitzen’s tenor voice nicely compliments Donner’s baritone. The Center Stage in Reston is a family-oriented venue that would love to book them - during the off-season, of course!

3/16/23 Donner and Blitzen returned my email asking where I could find them. They are vacationing in the Caribbean and told me to find replacements for today's reindeer games. Saw their cousin Cupid on my way to work but couldn't get my camera out in time. So, I found a couple of guys who offered to pull the sleigh tonight. They asked that I not use their real names, so pictures below are Hank and Tank!!!

During today’s ride through the Nevada desert I recalled the Donner-Reed party pioneer story as they passed through this neck of the woods … er desert. They became famous for trying to blaze a new pioneer trail westward, suffered numerous mishaps, losses and ultimately resorted to cannibalism to survive, eating the bodies of those who had succumbed to starvation, sickness, and extreme cold. Tough hood, indeed!

In Danish (& probably German too) the way to say "the blitz" would be "blitzen." So there you go - I seem to have won the local legend title for BLITZEN today, the day that " blitzen" is the photo scavenger hunt item to find.
