Hats off to the three Arlington cops this morning at 3am on Fairfax that shared a good laugh with me when I cruised through a sobriety checkpoint. Told me since I was still upright I must be fine. I told them I was good for at least 6 more beers on top of the 12 I had already

And yet another reason to ride a bike instead of drive. Safe passage through sobriety checkpoints. Just an observation, not in any way an endorsement of drinking and riding.

Not drinking and biking is why I CaBi to the bar and cab home.

Please don't try drinking and biking because I already tried it when I was younger. I felt more than 12 times on a 4 miles ride. I went down on every turn.

I miss the Arlington police, the Falls Church guys always make it a point to rocket around me in their squad cars. I had an Arlington cop shout "you can do it" last summer while chugging up Wilson when it was 102 outside.

Heh, similarly last year, I had an arlington bike police officer turn his head back and tell me it was totally OK to pass him going up the rosslyn/courthouse parallel segment of the custis trail!
