Per numerous media reports. Looks like a cyclist southbound on 21st was right-hooked by a concrete truck. This intersection is on my evening commute route. A traffic signal is being installed, but not yet operating.

I heard about Shawn from my fellow language instructor at the Foreign Service Institute. Shawn loved learning the Turkish language. I feel heartbroken for a fellow cyclist.

There will be ghost bike installations and memorials for all three persons who were killed riding bikes recently. 6pm each on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Sorry for missing seeing this. There was an update yesterday morning; the ghost bike installation in Shaw was last night (Friday) to correspond with the family's candlelight vigil.
