street maintenance hole cover in Alexandria, VA.
I had to watch for traffic, because this one is in the middle of the street.

I didn’t get to play the publicartfinder game this year, but today I saw a piece of public art in Rockville that I haven’t seen before: “In Line” by Nancy Frankel

Riding up the Skokie Northshore Channel Park, there are a large number of sculptures among winding paths.

Riffing on my ongoing theme of "public art close to home that I get to submit because I managed to go 10+ miles in a single ride" - an oldie but goodie is the statue "Helix" outside of 1800 Wilson (where we used to live in Arlington).

Turtle sculpture (in Falls Church, VA) by Clarence Kacergis, a welder from Provincetown, MA. "Myrtle" is one of three turtles the other two are in Provincetown. The owner came out and told us about the artist.
Here are links to the gallery and about the artist:

I saw so many great murals today, but marked most of them to go back to on my next 10 miler ...
This was at Old Sheepdog Brewery. It's by a local artist, Tino Ortega (@ortegtino). He specializes in these murals that look like party balloons. I can't imagine them being well received in DMV but down here, they make sense. He also does other work, much of it jaw dropping.

It was so nice today I had to get a second (long enough for this) ride in. Along the Forest Glen Pedestrian Bridge (alongside Georgia Avenue crossing the Beltway near the Forest Glen Metro station) are multiple cute little statues. I liked this one the best.
