Welcome to BAFS2022 Team #17

I'm Laurie E. the team's captain. I've been doing FS for 6 years and this is my 1st year being team captain.

The team members will be announced on Jan 13th at the Zoom HH. I look forward to seeing everyone via zoom then. In the meantime, think of some names for our team. Ones that I have in mind so far are "The Magnificent Seventeen" or "The Magnificent Seventeenth".

Hopefully, we will be able to do some group rides, get to know each other and search for some of the pointless prizes. In any case, continue to ride everyday to get the most points. I'll be setting up a Strava team club, once we get our assigned members, you will need to join our Strava team club.

Remember, all ride count since Jan. 1, 2022, the points that you earned before the 13th will follow you into your team, so keep riding. I like to say that "Freezing Saddle is when the Real Cyclist come out to play"! If this is your 1st time, don't worry, Be safe and have fun!

We agreed on the name "Nine and Fine" for our team.
There's a Strave Club name "Nine and Fine" that each member needs to join,
you can send me an invite or accept the one that I sent you. Some people I didn't know their Strava name to request to follow, so I couldn't send you an invite. Please request to follow me on Strava, my name is the same, Laurie E and I think that then I can send you the invite.

We are from all around the DMV and NYC.
We are planning a group ride in Feb meeting at Jones Point Park

If you would like to plan a group ride, or just see who is available to ride with, you can put it in the discussion on Strava for our club.

I have been doing FS for six years and since I started, has not been sick (cold/flu) in the winter, that's why I keep doing it. I also would love to ride everyday of the year, so FS is a good start to doing that.

OK - fixed it! just clicked the link to reconnect my Strava to Freezing Saddles. Worked like a charm.

I like the idea too of going to Jones Point from MD, especially since Iive in Maryland. Plus, I love Jones Point.

Rain ended around 10 am in NYC, temp 40°, but starting to fall. Got my 26 in it was nice to be on the road bike instead of the fat bike.
