    1/8/2022 - Creek

This is Dueling Creek a spot where "gentlemen" of the early 19th century would go to settle grievances.

This is what passes for a creek in the desert here. If we had rain, it would have water. The alternative photo would have been street signs with "Creek" in the name. Not sure where the imagination for THOSE developers came from -- the neighborhoods are dry as a bone!

Reminds me of Tucson. Are you near it at all?

Four mile run creek, and Sharon Frank. (If she doesn't post her pic, can this count for both of us?)

It's not curved - that was my attempt to get the creek on both sides of the bridge. It didn't work really, but it's nice of the one side

No idea what this creek is named, but it runs behind the YMCA on Sunset Hills Rd in Reston, and you cross it on a footbridge to access the W&OD.

I have no idea if this creek has a name or not - it's very tiny. All I can tell you is that it is off the Washington Blvd. Trail in Arlington, VA, and is part of the Lower Long Branch watershed.

Sort of - I'm in El Paso. Closer to Tucson than to anywhere else in Texas...

1/8/22 #scavhunt Creek (Dirickson Creek Selbyville DE--where I grew up, we would call it a river, so I looked it up and one definition definitely applies: "
an inlet in a shoreline, a channel in a marsh, or another narrow, sheltered waterway."

Admittedly, not the best view of a creek. It's a little hard to see in the background, but the hill was too steep to get closer. Looking between the two parallel trees on the right you see the reflection of the water.
