So many cool houses! This is possibly DC's last remaining round house from around the start of the 20th century:


It was built in Brookland in 1901 by John C. Louthan. He apparently chose the shape to make navigating easier for his wifev who was in a wheelchair. https://dc.urbanturf.com/articles/bl...oundhouse/6166

A cool house I found on my ride today was this one with stained window glasses.

The cool house nestled in the foothills outside Denver has a roofline in the shape of an airfoil (the cross section of an airplane wing).

Maybe hard to see here since I also wanted to capture the airplane, which is parked on his driveway, which doubles as a private runway. I could see his last flight on flightaware.com (from the local airport to his house!). He also has a helicopter next to his house. You'll have to see other photos on my Strava to see though.

3-19 Bonus participation

Wide angle shot to fit everything in. I got lucky when an "Indigo" Blue VW Golf pulled into the parking lot in front of the "Wine"ry. My "Bike" is in the foreground and Honey B's Macarons is an "Independent Bakery", whose sign you can see on the right.

Those 4 items are accompanied by a yellow fire hydrant way in the far left distance (guessing maybe it will look like a yellow dot at best when uploaded The bonnet (top) of the hydrant is "oblate spheroid" shaped (with a locking nut on very top), but it's only half a spheroid. I'm guessing it doesn't count, since it's only half, but wanted to share.

A fun way to end my ride and Freezing Saddles 2022!
