    Liked last year’s gaiter.

Agree with any of these. Helmet cover or gaiter would likely get the most use by me.

According to poll results, we get ankle bands.

I never knew...I rode in 2020 and was able to meet folks, and then tried to ride in 2021, but all the remote work effectively removed my commute...now I will be looking for reflective ankle bands as I do my lunch time spin in 2022!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the poll or replied in the thread!

I already placed an order for the ankle bands, but I wanted to respond to a couple of ideas mentioned in the thread.
    • Helmet covers: I floated this idea a few years ago, but I got shot down by (1) the people with Lumos helmets who didn't want to cover up their helmet lights, and (2) the people who feared the dorkiness factor. The consensus was that everyone who wanted a helmet cover already had one.
    • Toe covers: I personally would never use these. I switch to boots as soon as the weather gets cold.
    • Gaiter: There's an easy solution for this one: 2021 gaiter + sharpie.

It’s nice to rotate through the options. I now have a fun collection of BAFS things. I will say the one that is most recognizable and gets the most comments is the green tag that hangs from my saddle.

I'm sitting it out this year so that I can engage in other outdoor activities I love without feeling like I'm letting team members down, but I'll say hey when I see the ankle bands around.

You can always participate as a "Friend of Freezing Saddles" by joining the Strava club. You can also participate in various reindeer games (things like Calvinball or scavenger hunts like in previous years).
