It sounds like the owners are at an impasse. Chuck Kuhn, the new owner of White's Ferry, wants to either purchase the Virginia land site or negotiate a permanent easement with Rockland Farm. The owner's of Rockland Farm are insisting on a $0.50 fee per car. Recent coverage said Chuck Kuhn is asking Virginia to pursue eminent domain.
Last month, I logged a service ticket with ArCo about cars parked in the bike lane on South Eads. Seems people visiting the Arlington Transit yard were using an abandoned driveway apron at the treatment plant for parking. For reasons unclear, it didn't get the flex post treatment the rest of the southbound bike lane received.
This morning on my way to HDCC, I noticed the area was sporting some new flex posts.
